Welcome to my updated site. My name is Simon Cleveland, an am starting my third year as an MFA Student at the New York University Tisch School of The Arts studying lighting design for the theatre. I recieved my BFA from the University of Evansville, and have spent some time living and working in Los Angeles before starting school in New York. Currently as part of my time at NYU I have been hired by the Department of Dance as one of two resident lighting designers.

My training and background is in theatre and dance, but I also have spent time working in television, film, events, architecture, and just about everything imaginable in the lighting industry. Past projects I have been involved in include Deal or No Deal on NBC as the assistant Lighting Designer, The Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino as an assistant/draftsman, and as designer for An Evening of Experimental Middle Eastern Dance.
